Rusted and Busted! DIY Frame Repair! Mortske’s 1962 Chevrolet C10 Shortbed, The Budget Friendly Pickup Truck, Might Just Break In Half!

Most of the time when we are talking about rust in old cars it is sheet metal. Whether it’s the floors or the quarters or the rockers, the normal spots are usually thinner materials. But sometimes, the chassis on a ride is what rusts out as well and that can be very very bad. I’ve personally worked on a couple of cars that required chassis reconstructions because of rust, and can tell you that they are super simple in most cases, but that doesn’t mean you can’t screw them up royally as well. In this video here, Mortske is working on the budget friendly 1962 C10 Chevy pickup and it needs some love before it breaks in two.

Video Description:

It’s time to perform a long list of overdue maintenance on my 1962 Chevrolet C10 affectionately known as White Lightnin. The frame is bent, cracked and rusted. The doors are out of alignment and the hinges are sticky. The headlights are out of adjustment and more! This pickup is not for sale. As always, thanks for watching!
