Dan is calling this the world’s worst ’57 Chevy because there is nothing on it that isn’t rotten or bent or something. Of course that just means there is plenty to do which means lots of great DD Speed Shop videos. Dan has already taken another chassis and set it up for a bigger set of rear tires and gotten it ready to go under this thing since the original chassis is just rotten. With that said, he’s going to be doing everything to bring this one back, as you would expect, but he’s going to do it the Dan way. In this case that means trying to get the body off the original chassis, and the new chassis under it, without fancy tools or friends or a lift. It’s going to be sketchy, which is exactly how I’ve always done it so I approve. Check out the video and let us know if you think your spouse would lose their minds if they walked into the garage and found you doing this.

Video Description:
In the last episode of this left for dead 1957 Chevy hardtop, we fixed up and old crusty frame for the car.
Relocating the springs and swapping in a narrowed diff for larger tires.
The Chassis that came with the car was rotten in the rear section and not worth repairing.
So we’re in our single car garage, no lift, no crane, no friends but we need the chassis swapped. We used a few floor jacks and 4×4 fence posts to hoist the body up in the air. As long as no one was under the car, it’s safe right?
Sketchy but we got it done.
