Will It RUN AND DRIVE Finally? Vice Grip Garage Debates Between A Carburetor or Computer On This 8-6-4 Cadillac Nightmare.

Not long ago, we ran video as Derek tried to make this 1981 Caddy run. It wasn’t a great experience, as these things were always a challenge with their 4-6-8 engine. If you missed that first video, use the link below. In this one he’s debating a carburetor, another computer, or maybe just some fire. What do you think? Watch and let us know below.

My dad worked as a Service Advisor at a Cadillac dealership in the late 1970’s and 1980’s and I remember the 4-6-8 Caddy engines. They sucked. The mechanics and service guys all bitched about them, so much so that even though I was single digits in age I remember them talking about them and how they were made fun of for decades after. Truth be told, those engines and the others of that era were one of the reasons for the decline in status that came from a Caddy back then. So it is no surprise to me that this 1981 Cadillac that Derek at Vice Grip Garage acquired wasn’t the get it running and driving adventure he thought it might be. Check out the adventures right here.

Video Description:

A guy is armed with new technology! Well, nope. Remanufactured computer from Mexico and a tech book, but anyhoo, let’s take another crack at getting this old cadillac back up and running. It’s either using the computer, or doing a EFI to carb swap!
