Racing Junk Find: The World’s Wildest Gremlin!

Racing Junk Find: The World’s Wildest Gremlin!

During our time at the Holley National Hot Rod Reunion, Chad and I freaked out like women on an Oprah giveaway show when we saw an awesome little Gremlin yanking the tires and running into the 10s. Then we found this insane creation for sale on RacingJunk.com and in our eyes, it is the craziest and coolest Gremlin drag machine ever built.

The car is for sale sans engine and transmission, but that’s no sweat. While it would be true to think that a blown alky burning BBC or Hemi would be the cheapest and best way to make power, a blown anvil-like 401 would elevate the new owner to god-like status in the die hard AMC community.

The car is (obviously) a tube chassis piece. It has a fiberglass front end and doors, a fire system, double adjustable shocks front and back, the “best rear end setup” which we’re guessing is a four link, and it comes with a couple sets of slicks.

The car has run a best of 4.45/169mph in the eighth-mile which is just as freaking awesome as it sounds.

Plain and simple, this little monster is awesome and with the lack of wheelbase, will test the skills of even the best horse wrangler!
