Cool Video: Freiburger and Nick Licata Thrash the Hot Rod E-Rod Camaro

We’re not sure how we missed this cool video when it first hit the web, but we’re glad we found it now. The three minute clip features David Freiburger and Camaro Performers Nick Licata kicking the hell out of the E-Rod 1979 Camaro. Built as a showcase for GM’s new E-Rod emissions compliant performance crate engines, the car was built at Diversified Creations, the shop of BangShifter Mike Copeland.

Showing the car on the skid pad and weaving through the cones, as well as drag racing, it gave us the impression that the machine is a very well balanced car capable of hitting the highway and romping across the USA, hitting every fun event on the way, and holding with best of the pack!

Nice and DF are friends of ours, but we hate them and their ability to have fun like this! Mike Copeland also deserves another mention here for the awesome work he and his employees at Diversified Customs did on this car!

Not bad; looks to handle the way I would love to have my ’66 Fury maneuver.

Also looks like Frydaddy has lost a few lbs, too.

Great car! I don’t know why ANYONE would mess with a Gen @ Camaro, though! (For the newbies – that’s what I race at Maxton).

David is looking Greek-God-like, for sure. When he was at Maxton this year it was really remarkable. I need to emulate his program.

I’ve never heard DF actually admit it – but I’ve always noticed he won’t drive something after it gets paint.

I liked it ratcrap grey. Nice ride.
