(Video by Blown64Vette – YouTube)- There is no more determined man in drag racing than Bobby Dodrill and there is no more aptly named vehicle in the sport than his four wheel drive rig called Miss Misery. Over a near decade stretch, Dodrill has worked to do something that no other drag racer has done successfully since the dawn of the sport which is the harness massive horsepower in a four whell drive fashion and make it drivable. Yes, we know that there are GTRs and other super cars hauling the mail but none of them make the type of screw blower violence that this thing does.
Dodrill came to the asphalt after years of racing on mud and dirt and he came here determined to make his beloved truck a true bad ass on a hard surface. He has worked and bled and sacrificed for this goal and as of yet it has eluded him. Tommy Lee Byrd shot this video and it is cool not just because we see the run but it is cool because we have an interview with a frustrated, heartbroken, and truly passionate Dodrill in his trailer. The dude is bummed but if history is a guide he will be back after more hard work and sleepless nights.
Miss Misery is one of the most amazing projects in the sport. We hope he keeps on the gets it sorted out!
