Site of the Week: Massive Collection of International Harvester Truck Photos

International Harvester started building trucks in 1907 and kept building them for more than 70 years. Along the way they introduced many innovations into the working vehicles of America and with their innovative Scout, helped to pioneer the modern SUV (we’re not sure if that is a good or a bad thing). This killer collection of photos compiled by the Wisconsin Historical Society contains two of our favorite things, American history and cool old trucks.

The amazing thing to us is that every photo has a caption explaining about the vehicle and its duties. The old beer trucks are personal favorites of ours because frankly anything involving beer is our favorite. Seeing the evolution of America’s working vehicles is pretty cool. From crude motorized wagons to stylish art-deco work horses, the vehicles themselves represent the waya that the country itself was changing.

This site can easily chew up several hours or maybe even a full day if you get dragged into reading the captions on all of the photos. This is mind-blowing collection of stuff.
