BangShift Sponsors Can’t Resist The Mullet! Holley and Dynatech Sign On As Sponsors For Wally’s World GTO

BangShift Sponsors Can’t Resist The Mullet! Holley and Dynatech Sign On As Sponsors For Wally’s World GTO

If you missed the introduction to the Wally’s World GTO Project that is going on at Indy Hot Rods for our buddy Wally Olczak, it’s okay. You can CLICK HERE to read the entire story, and it’s a good one. See it starts off in 1988 when Wally bought a 1966 GTO, restored it himself while growing a mullet, and then had the coolest car in town. Fast forward to 2013 and Holley and Dynatech raised there hands and said “Pick me, pick me!” because they could resist being a part of a project that started out with some 19 year old kid with a mullet. We know exactly how they feel. Bill Tichenor at Holley and Eric Saffell at AFCO/Dynatech are both “mullet aficionados” (in their words), and thought it would be fun. What better reason to get into this late model GTO project!

Now we’ve actually seen Bill Tichenor with a mullet. In real life. He’s not only the dude behind all the marketing and PR at Holley, but he’s also the best Joe Dirt and Redneck Ninja impersonator you ever saw. What do both have in common? Mullet. Yep, that is it. So, Holley is going to step up and provide some of their ultra bitchin LS dress up parts for this thing, so that it looks just as sexy inside as out.

Dynatech’s Eric Saffell is also a marketing genius like Bill, and knew that being involved in any project that starts off with a mullet is going to garner good attention. We couldn’t agree more, and are happy to see that Dynatech will be providing headers and mid pipes for this unusual platform.
