Big News: Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Joins As Newest BangShift Sponsor!

We are very proud to announce that Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has joined the ever expanding BangShift family of sponsors. A company that needs nearly no introduction, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering was founded by the late John Lingenfelter four decades ago and has thrived ever since. Now owned by Ken Lingenfelter (a distant relative of John) and operated by some of the best minds in the business, Lingenfelter is a recognized innovator and industry leader in every facet of performance. The company’s product line is amazingly diverse with everything from nitrous control modules and other electronic devices through hard engine parts like cylinder heads, to complete engine packages, to complete car builds and now trucks. Recently we have been telling you about a new offering from LPE called, The Reaper. This is a modified Chevy truck with major increases in suspension travel, horsepower, and looks. The truck has been designed and developed thoroughly and was publicly introduced to the world at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday. Mike Copeland, Lingenfelter’s VP of Operations promised us some time with a Reaper in the Spring (we haven’t forgotten, Mike!).

One of the most impressive things about LPE is how they stay on the vanguard of late model performance. Take for example their 1,000hp package developed for the C7 Corvette powered by the relatively new LT1 engine. This twin-turbo combo delivers a guaranteed 1,000hp of tire shredding, mind melding, craziness. That being said, there are plenty more tame offerings and staged upgrade packages that allow you to grow you car’s performance as your budget and guts allow. The company’s product line is centered around GM performance products as it has been since the beginning.

Outside of the performance parts and builds that hot rodders want, that whole “engineering” part of the name isn’t just there for looks. LPE does lots of consulting work for OEMs in the form of research, product development, and testing. We can’t wait to tour their shop in Indiana and get the, “Don’t look at that, don’t touch that, you don’t know that exists,” tour because that’s the good stuff.

LPE is one of the great names in high performance and we’re honored to have them as part of the BangShift gang! We have fun plans for LPE content coming so stay tuned. Visit their website here to learn more about this company with more than four decades of high performance heritage –
