The company is looking for some specifics makes and models to bring into their Whittier, California HQ to serve as the R&D vehicles for new header designs. Why is this good for you? Because if you volunteer your car or truck YOU GET FREE CUSTOM BUILT, FIRST EVER OF THE TYPE HEDDERS! You have to get your car to and from Hedman and you should be local to Whittier (damned California guys have all the luck!)
HERE’S WHAT HEDMAN IS LOOKING FOR:
1. 2nd gen Camaro with SBC and close-ratio steering. Stock setup with factory manual 4-speed.
2. 1968-91 K20/V20 pickup with BB Chevy motor. They are 2” long tube headers.
Both owners will end up with a set up free coated headers…installed.

The Hedman headers on my 69 Camaro only fit after SEVERAL encouraging blows with the ball peen hammer. I would gladly offer up my car if they’d like another stab at a set of headers that actually bolt on. On that note, has anybody ever installed a set of full length headers that DIDN’T need massaging?
The Hedmans I put on the Impala fit without hammering. They also tucked up much better than the Hookers because they were model specific, not sharing a part number with monte carlo and Chevelle.
Also found it impossible o find headers for my car. ’67 Camaro, SBC with an aftermarket front subframe
I have em on my 77 MC. The only thing is the #6 plug is really close and annoying to get out other wise they fit really well.

I have used Headman for years. All the test fitting you’ve done really shows. Will be looking to use them on my next project. 95 up S10 with Crew Cab. Planning on installing a 454 to a 572ci with Automatic, W/Motor and trans plates and set back 6”. Also have a 1972 Buick Skylark California Custom, One owner, 350/4. TH350. Will also be looking for Headers for it soon.
