We’re reasonably certain that everyone at Holley has figured out to to live without the annoyance of sleep in their lives. They’ve had to because with the amount of stuff that the company is constantly rolling out from their EFI systems (which have taken the world by storm) to fuel pumps, headers, manifolds, and now this new mid-rise, single plane intake for LS engines, it is 24-hour a day innovation and work happening in Kentucky. This intake is cool because it is setup to receive square bore carbs and throttle bodies with blades up to 1.75″ in diameter and there are a couple of variations of the piece that allow you to run it successfully on engines that have cathedral style ports or square ports. Additionally, you can get them machined for port injection style fuel delivery if that is your jam.
The RPM range for this intake is 2500-7,000 RPM and that’s where the vast majority of LS owners are working their stuff anyway, so it makes sense. This should help engine fitment in some cars where hood clearance is an issue and you’ll still be able to make great power and get your fuel delivery handled in whatever way you want to. Made of cast aluminum, the thing weighs in at 11.5lbs. If you are in the market for an LS intake and want to keep your stuff under a flat hood, this could be the one for you.

High-performance LS engines can take advantage of the optimized runner layout and broad torque-curve created by Holley’s LS Single Plane Intake Manifold. Available for LS engines with rectangular or cathedral port cylinder head configurations, Holley’s Single Plane Mid-Rise intake has a power band ranging from 2500 through 7,000 rpms with a square bore mounting flange that can be used with either a four-barrel carburetor or EFI throttle body with throttle bores measuring up to 1.75-inch diameter.
The intake’s runner layout and cross-sectional area also provide a broad torque curve, and is cast from high-quality aluminum with consistent wall thckness for balanced performance and sealing strength. The Holley LS Single Plane Intake Manifold is lightweight, and offers the lowest carb mounting flange height possible, allowing for better hood clearance, but without sacrificing any power.
Four part numbers are available; two for carbureted applications and two that are machined for port fuel injection EFI systems. The intake includes mounting bolts, washers, mounting flange gasket kit, and pipe plugs to install manifold vacuum and MAP sensors. For more information, visit www.holley.com.
