One of the arenas that they dominate in the aftermarket is the rat rod scene. As such, they have teamed up with the dudes and dudettes at Rat Rod Magazine on a 1939 Chevy panel truck that will be the lead car at this year’s Rat Rod Tour which will be spearheading an awesome convoy of rat-tastic rods to Las Vegas for the annual Ratpalooza show. If you are into this scene, you need to mark your calendars for September 8th and get to Sin City to take it in. You’ll see some of the coolest traditional and rat-styled hot rods in the country all gathered up in one kick ass mob.

This ’39 Chevy, built by Brian Dagel in the pages of Rat Rod Magazine is a piece that has been chopped, cut, shrunk, stretched, and modified in the neatest of ways. We love the fact that the cut lines and nice welding has been left exposed for all to see. It really gives you an idea of how much work was done to get the sinister look that the car has. Rolling on a set of retro tires and Rocket Injector as cast wheels, we think it is boss, especially the exposed headers and running board mounted side pipes. It must make some truly beautiful noise at full song. We have to imagine there will be some “full songs” during the long haul from Minnesota where the tour starts to Las Vegas. The car, which has been dubbed, “The Tour Rat” will be the point vehicle for the trek.
