CASEY’S CUSTOMS NEW PROJECT: CRAZY NEW BUILD! TRUCK CONVERSION TO BLAZER!

CASEY’S CUSTOMS NEW PROJECT: CRAZY NEW BUILD! TRUCK CONVERSION TO BLAZER!

Yep, he’s going for it! Recently I’ve seen a couple builds where someone took a 67-72 Chevrolet pickup and cut it up and made it into a Blazer. This has got to be a lot of work, but I think it could be a fun one too. So do you think this is a good idea or a bad one, and more importantly do you think that Casey can pull it off?

Lets go over the basics, and I’m talking really streamlining it down to just the big stuff. First off the bed has to come off so the chassis can be shortened to the appropriate wheelbase. At this point you can go stock wheelbase or whatever you want, since it’s all going to be custom anyway. Then the back of the cab needs to go away, and the decision on how the top is going to be configured will matter here. Then the bed sides and floor need to be cut shorter and connected to the cab without it looking like a 12 year old did it, and then finally the top needs to be made or accounted for. Oh and there are probably 100 small patch panels and such that need to be made in order to make sure the whole thing is one piece without any holes.

Oh, and the rear overhang will be too long too, so the back of the bed and chassis also need to be bobbed and made proportional.

So…. simple right?

Let’s watch.
