Cleanest Way To Organize Tools Or Tool OCD? Kaizen Foam Storage Tricks And Tips

I’m a big fan of tool organization and am the guy with the little plastic things that hold sockets, end wrenches, etc in my toolbox drawers. I also own a label maker which means I have well labeled tool drawers as well. Organization makes me happy. With that said, I’m just not sure I’m a Kaizen Foam guy. I’ve never used it, and I love what it looks like when it’s all done, but man it sure seems like a lot of work. With that said, the thing I find as awesome as their tools is the storage foam that is included with every set of tools from Boxo Tools. They have killer die-cut foam holders for their tools that look a lot like this Kaizen foam you can DIY here. Of course getting that requires buying new tools so if you already have all the tools you want then Kaizen might be the right choice for you.

In this video from Project Karr he shows just how he uses Kaizen foam to organize his tools. The video shows not only how to actually cut the foam for your particular tools, but also shows tools, tips, tricks, and thoughts to remember while designing yours.

Video Description:

Here is a detailed guide on how I cut out Kaizen foam and why I choose to use it over other storage methods. This video is not intended to tell you which organization method to use since each person’s application is different.

If i organized all of my wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, extensions, etc. like that i will need to buy a bigger tool box or another set of drawers to add to the stack. Certain things just need to be piled into a drawer to save space.

Looks good but I would have that foam filthy in no time. Looks like a tool box for people that don’t swing wrenches on anything ever.
