Easy Weekend Welding Project: How To Make A Wall Mounted, Metalworking File Tool Rack.

I love making tools and equipment for the shop, because while you can often buy whatever it is, these projects give you a different sense of accomplishment, and more importantly a chance to get some fabrication practice in before getting to work on your hot rod or race car. And little projects like this cool tool rack can often be done in just a couple of hours while tinkering around in the garage. This one here is designed to hold metal working files and is a handy one to have hanging on the wall or in your tool cabinet.

Watch as Gavin Clark puts this one together in his signature industrial style. This sucker will last a lifetime because of the materials he’s chosen, but they are easy to work, look super clean and nice when done, and are something fun to build. Try one yourself, or us it for inspiration to make your own out of some other material. Sheet metal? Wood? A combo? How about aluminum?

Let us know what you think.

I make a Wall Mount, Metalworking File Tool Rack, for the tool cabinet. I love these little welding projects, I will make more tool racks for other tools at some stage, sticking to the industrial-style look I like.
