Doing an engine swap in a boat is a cake walk. Just ask Mike Finnegan. Or is it? Well it turns out that some of the parts for this particular LS engine didn’t exactly jell with the boat itself and then there were other issues. But they have been overcome, in both funny and professional ways I might add, as Mike and the crew have had to work on several things to make the whole thing go together. But they got it. And boy oh boy is it fun. I haven’t seen Finnegan this excited in quite some time, and Newbern is like a kid in a candy store because he hasn’t ever driven a hot rod boat before. Never. And now he has one. I think that new Pontoon boat he just purchased is going to get some use as a floating dock, because the family will want both out on the water every single weekend possible so they can have fun going fast.
With some tweaks and some tuning this thing is legit fast, but they are already talking about some nitrous for truly high speed pulls on the lake and I think it sounds like a perfect plan. 100 mph is hauling ass on the water, I don’t care who you are, and that goal will easily be reached with round two. Watch.
