Kevin From KSR Performance And Fabrication Says “This Is The Worst Engine Destruction I Have Ever Had!!”

I talked to Kevin at the PRI Show and asked him about all the carnage in this video and then we laughed a lot. Why? Well it turns out that if you take a stock bottom end LS engine and try to spin it to 8,000 rpm it’s probably okay. If, however, you park that bad boy at 8,000 rpm on the limiter in your burnout car it might not last. When I was announcing at the LSFest Burnout Competition and leaned in the car to ask Kevin about the sexy 8 into 1 header that was bolted to the 5.3 in the video, he told me he had the limiter set at 8,000 rpm and that it was a stock bottom end. I responded with something along the lines of “Sure it’s a stock bottom end!”

Turns out it was and boy did it blow the holy hell out of itself! Check out the carnage right here. Ouch.

Video Description:

I think this is the most destruction that I have ever caused in an engine….. The stock bottom end 5.3L finally had enough of spending its life at 8000rpm, but at least it sounded cool with the 8-1 Header….haha.
