You likely recognize the name and the face of Cameron Evans. He’s been in the high performance industry for years on both the media and manufacturer side. The editor of Popular Hot Rodding and the co-host (with Dean Skuza) of Popular Hot Rodding TV, racing and high performance has been his life growing up with a dad like Steve Evans. Cam’s a race himself who spends lots of time during the year roaring around road courses and putting the product that he knows so well, Red Line Oil, to the test.
This is not an ad for Red Line Oil. Instead it is part of a series on the YouTube Drive Channel called Engineered that explores a different topic with each episode. Some weeks it is engine building and other weeks it is tech like this.
What we dig about this video is that it is not designed to make you a petroleum engineer but instead it is designed to help you understand oil, what is in it, what grades there are, and what you should probably be using in your engine for the application and work that it is performing.
Cam is a great guy to get the message from because he is not just sitting behind a desk pushing a pen or some keys. He’s a hardcore enthusiast that needs to know how this stuff works so his own race cars run right! Give it a watch, you’ll dig it and you’ll learn something.
Very interesting content.
