Project Mud Bomber Update: Rebeldryver’s Abandoned Barn Yard Find ’64 Galaxie 500 Has A New 428 FE Coming!

This poor barn find Galaxie has had an interesting life. After being abandoned for 35 years in a barn it was dubbed the mud bomber because the entire car was full of mud dobbers and dirt. And while Scott was able to get it up and running, and even did a cool old retro NASCAR themed paintscheme, it still neede help in the engine department after sitting for all those years. So Scott did what any good hot rodder would and put together a 390 for it. And that didn’t last long and died. So then he bought a running old 428 and threw it in there. Which didn’t last. Yeah, Scott’s engine building abilities apparently don’t cross to an FE, which doesn’t really make sense if you know Scott.

So what do you do after your project car curses three engines? Build a fourth of course!

Here’s the video where Scott is going to tell us just what is about to happen.

Video Description:

Our project 64 Galaxie was abandoned for 35 years in a barn yard. We got it running, but have had plenty of engine problems. We go over the three engines the car has had and all failed. The 352 FE, the 390 we built, and then an irrigation pump 428 we bought as a running unit. All died! Now, we are building a new 428.
