If you have never seen a 348 or 409 W-Series GM engine apart, then this video is going to be one for you to watch. While this engine, sometimes called the very first Big Block, looks like it just has a weird set of valve covers on it, there really is a lot more going on here and it becomes obvious when you see the heads off this bad boy.

The combustion chambers are twisted and oriented weird compared to a traditional small or big block but that’s not all. They are TINY. The chambers I mean. Just look.
