How do you find out who makes the best hose clamps? Easy, y0u buy 16 different brands and put them all through a series of tests to see which ones suck and which ones are great, figuring that there will be a lot of them that fall somewhere in the middle! I have to tell you, I’ve tried a lot of different hose clamps over the years from OE style to heat shrink style and everything in between. In fact, OE doesn’t describe much considering how many different types of clamps have come and gone over the years form all the manufacturers. I can tell you that I hate some and love some and don’t much care one way or the other on a lot of them too.

One thing that does just annoy the holy hell out of me is when I see someone go after a typical worm drive hose clamp with a flat blade screwdriver. Ugh. They should NOT put that slot in the hex anymore, because it’s the dumbest thing ever. You have a hex people! Use the thing!
