Will This Family Relic Run After More Than 20 Years In Various Garages? I Want To Love This Monte Carlo…

I want to love it, because my parents had one new when I was little, but this one is way rougher than I thought originally when I saw the video. Oh well. It’s still a cool story and a car that might be worth saving. The rust is something I hate to see, but thankfully OPG makes quarter panels for this. Like everyone else seems to be doing lately, Junkyard Digs is going after this family relic to see if they can make it run AND drive. There is a lot of family history to this one, and it is missing some parts that are needed to be able to drive under it’s own power.

There is no driveshaft, the transmission is a complete unknown because part of the family remembers it not working and part has no clue. Then there are the brakes that haven’t worked in two decades, and the carburetor, and the… well you get the point.

At any rate, there isn’t anything that should keep this thing from firing up, but the driving under its own power is going to be a bit more of an unknown. What do you think? Will it run in one day? Or will it take all weekend to make this happen?
