Thanks, Captain Obvious: CNN Tells us How to Spot Unmarked Cop Cars

We’re giving a heartfelt thanks to CNN for publishing this groundbreaking story about unmarked police cruisers and how to spot them while driving. They also give the top speed specs of each popular police car and well, little else.

If you claim that you are a gearhead and you’re not able to spot an unmarked car from 500 yards, you’re not. Steel wheels, a lower stance, and windows that look like they were tinted with three coats of black spray paint are usually the tells that Johnny law is hiding in plain sight.

The one suprising piece of info we got was that a Harley Electra-Glide can only get 104 mph.

Police cars win chases for one reason, and it has nothing to do with blazing acceleration or top speed. It’s called a police radio.
