I don’t know if it is cooler that this guy built a 21 horsepower couch, complete with a diff out of a garden tractor, or that he TIG welds the damn thing together! To be fair, this is not a first, not by a longshot, but it is way cool. In fact, there are world records that exist for powered couches. Edd China, the fun mechanic from the original Wheeler Dealers show, once held the record at 87 mph. The current one is over 101 mph with aero. It doesn’t much look like a couch anymore, so maybe we need to put a BANGshift couch together and kick some ass. But I digress. This is about the kid with the 21 horsepower couch.

Watch the video below to see it go together and then watch him drive it all over the place. It isn’t just for the driveway, it is perfectly capable of hauling off across the field or up the hill. It’s an all-terrain couch if you will, after all it is based mostly off or a lawn tractor. The components are clearly off of one and we all know those thing can be made to go really fast, so these guys should think about it. I wonder if there is a record for the longest couch jump? Hmmm.
