Video: A Mustang, A Firebird, and An RV Walk Into A Tuff Truck Competition And All Race!

Ok, well they did not walk into the SAME Tuff Truck competition but the all did race and the videos below are total proof of that face. You are going to see a Fox-body Mustang get hammered so hard it nearly leaves the ‘yard, a poor 3rd generation Firebird get mashed, bashed, and smashed halfway to bits, and then a lumbering RV, which seems to be in decent shape get put through things its engineers and designers never imagined. Why? Because Tuff Truck, that’s why!

Tuff Truck racing has been going on forever. Combing elements of short course off road competition, demolition derby, and motocross, it is the ultimate mashup of low buck automotive fun and it happens all over the country with major frequency these days. At trucks shows, fairs, and other events, Tuff Truck racing is as big as it has ever been. Why are these guys racing cars in it? Who the hell knows but their craziness and complete lack of care for their spinal cords raise some really interesting moments on the videos below. If the guy in the Firebird can walk upright after his run, he needs to be tested for performance enhancing substances.

Let’s just say that we have newfound respect for the toughness of the Fox-body Mustang after watching this. We have seen them road raced, drag raced, autocrossed, and raced in every form and fashion you would imagine…except for this and boy were we missing out!

You say that like it’s a bad thing. Sometimes it’s fun to give your brain the evening off, and watch when your buddy says “Hold my beer and watch this!”
