Just when you thought it was safe to go outside we have great video showing a glimpse of the newest project from the group of wacky geniuses that brought us the Postman Pat van. Sticking with their “smaller is cooler” theme, Tom Armitage and the boys have constructed a small slingshot dragster that uses the 140hp engine from a Kawasaki ZX9R motorcycle. Like the Postman Pat van, this thing is designed to be driven and haul ass. Tom didn’t tell us what it it weighs, but it has to be miniscule. As the engine is in the chassis and it runs, we’re thinking that it won’t be long before we start seeing videos of this little terror on English drag strips.
What will it run? We don’t have a damned clue but a stock ZX9R is a deep 10-second motorcycle on the quarter mile stock. We’d say that this dragster probably weighs about as much as a stock ZX9R bike so maybe 10.30s or 10.40s? We’re no sure how the motor is being connected to the axle but a chain drive seems like the obvious choice. We cannot wait to see this little dragster on the strip. Sure seems like a tight fit for the driver, but then again, if they could wedge a full sized man into a kiddie ride, loading one into a slingshot should be no problem.

In the “Related Videos”, it looks like the lads are experimenting with NOS:):)

Can’t wait for the vids of Postman pat “On the Bottle”:):)
PatVan had gotten into the 12.0’s @ 101 mph on the bottle (backed-up with a 100 mph pass).
I’d hardly say they fit a ‘full size man’ in a Childes ride! Lol
Wow that sounds SO GOOD!!!!!
