Nobody here is going to, for one second, argue that any of the “Fast and Furious” movies showcase real life. Hondas driving under semi trailers, a Yenko Camaro with an ejection seat, and let’s not forget those race-spec 18-speed manual transmissions…the entire series is entertainment with a touch of car porn and not much more. The upcoming Furious7 is no different, with the teaser trailer showing the team parachuting out of the back of a cargo plane…inside of their cars. Unrealistic? Oh, hell yes. Entertaining? Yeah. But in an age where this could have easily been a CGI stunt, it’s nice to see one element of realism come out of the film: they really did shove the cars out of the back of a C-130 with parachutes attached. Two cars at a time were hauled up into the sky, and three camera divers flew with the cars as they were rolled out of the back. The skill and precision needed to accomplish such a stunt is incredible. The first clip is the teaser trailer from the film, and the second clip shows you how they accomplished the shots. Watch both…it’s worth it!
They should have named the movie 2 fast 2 funerals
Not a C-130……it’s a C-17.
Oooops…just saw the propellars in the video. I was going by the picture. My bust.
Will never spend a nickel on this stupidity.
Completely agree, I am insulted as a car guy and a movie goer.
