Best Pliers (Locking Long Nose)? Snap On, Irwin, Milwaukee, Irwin, Tekton, CH Hanson, Eastwood

Which long nosed locking pliers are best? Is Vise Grip the one? I don’t know about you, but I call all locking pliers Vise Grips, because they have become the standard name like Kleenex is for any tissue. With that said, I can tell you that I’ve used a bunch of different brands of locking pliers over the years and lots of them are fine when they have short jaws, but long jaw pliers like these are sometimes the worst. They bend and twist because they have so much leverage on them. In fact they are my least favorite locking pliers.

But is that because I only have cheap ones? Lets see how good they are, or can be, depending on the brand. Watch as Project Farm does the ultimate test to find out who makes the best ones.

Video Description:

12 Brands: Snap On, Grip On, Milwaukee, Crescent, Eastwood, Vintage USA Vise Grips, Imported Irwin Vise Grips, Tolsen, Tekton, Performance Tool, SATA, CH Hanson. Locking pliers nose and large jaws compared for grip strength on fasteners. Locking long nose/needle nose pliers also compared for performance on hardened steel and wire cutter performance cutting through nails. Wear resistance and failure load yield performance proves that some tools are no longer made to the same build quality as vintage ones. I purchased all of the pliers tested. So, thank you for supporting the channel.
