Bitchin’ Video: 2011 Norwegian Formula Off Road Hill Climb Action

We’ve shown you killer video from the wild Norwegian Formula Off Road Hillclimb events before, but this one could be the best yet. Filmed at what appears to be the most recent event, which was run at the end of May, it is a well produced thrill ride featuring the fearless drivers and truly awesome machines that compete in these events.

Part rally-cross, part speed mountain climb, and all wretched horsepower excess, the trucks look like what we Americans would call mud bog racers. With paddle tires on all four corners, big blocks, healthy LS mills and a nitrous habit that won’t quit, these buggies can fling dirt and rocks while climbing grades that would have stumped Sir Edmund Hillary back in the day.

The in-car footage is incredible, but some of the saves the drivers make, with their trucks teetering on one wheel at the top of the climb are truly beyond words.

We REALLY want to get over to Norway and hang out with these guys for a weekend!!
