Carnage Report: Just How Jacked Up Was Cleetus’s Dale Truck On RMRW 2.0?

If you were following along on the live stream of Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0, you probably figured out in a hurry that the “Dale Truck”, Cleetus’s Earnhardt-liveried Chevrolet Craftsman Truck ex-racer, was not in a good way for most of the trip. In fact, that puppy was hurting most of the trip, badly. You could smell clutch every time the truck passed…at least, up until the clutch went from “optional” to “freaking nonexistant” and rev-matching became the name of the game. Lots of crunchy-crunchy noises were heard, launches required a push-start from the Leroy machine, and by the end of it, the truck made a very painful lap down Tulsa Raceway Park and was put up before anything else got shredded.

The question we had was simple: Just how much metal became metalflake in the transmission area? How bad was the carnage? Well…on the plus side, everything can be fixed and parts are ready to go in, including a new transmission that was waiting at the shop. The bad? Hit play and see the damage for yourself!
