Everyone knows Chip Foose, and whether you are a fan of all his projects or just a select few there is no doubt that this dude has vision and talent. He and his dad, along with his shop, have built some incredibly cool, famous, and well built hot rods over the years and the history of Foose builds goes way beyond the tv shows. This particular project is sort of a “What If” exercise. What if Chevrolet had built a C10 with the heart and soul of the Z28 Camaro that was introduced in 1967? This 1967 C10 is Chip’s attempt to answer that question. And he’s doing a bunch of the work himself. This isn’t going to be a drawing that magically comes to fruition, but rather a project that will have Chip doing the work and walking us through the entire build. Check it out below.
Here is the info from Foose Designs:
Chip is taking his personal 1967 Chevy C-10 and is dropping in an original ‘67 Camaro Z/28 motor in it. We’re building it as though the factory had a sport truck package back in ‘67, a “C/28” package! We’ll be adding a few Camaro-inspired subtle mods to complete the look.
SWEEEETTT! I have always thought the auto makers should have created such projects in limited runs if nothing else but then again we would not have had Awesome Builders doing things like this that make sense. Thank You so much for sharing and everything you do.
How UN inspiring to do a version of one of the most over rated cars.
Izzat you Geordie?
Foose does great work, for a lot of years the SS/RS Camaros were way more potent than the z/28.
What are those side-marker lights doing on a ’67?
