Dyno Insanity Video: A 3,000-HP Ford Big Block at Steve Morris Racing Engines

Dyno Insanity Video: A 3,000-HP Ford Big Block at Steve Morris Racing Engines

Long story short, this is a video depicting one of the craziest Ford engines on planet Earth. A twin turbo, 572ci big block that made 3,000hp on the dyno at Steve Morris Racing Engines, it is a mill that should bring tears of pride to members of the blue oval cult. The only thing crazier than the engine is the car it will be bolted into.

Nope, not a Pro Mod, but a leaf sprung small tire Mustang that on first look seems about as worthy of this engine as a garbage truck. That being said, Morris seems excited to see this power plant land in the car, so we’re interested in some follow up videos when the combo hits the track.

Horsepower has never been available to hot rodders like it is now. It was not that long ago when 3,000 hp was reserved for multi engine pulling tractors and Top Fuel Dragsters. Now a dude with a leaf spring Mustang can own it and not melt his engine into a puddle every lap.

Press play below and let Steve Morris take you on a seven minute tour of this incredible engine, including a wicked dyno pull!

I am not believing it..especially mentioning he made the dyno. how convenient. Twice the numbers I have ever seen. An engine like that needs a tractor trailer…but oh no.. it would make it move about as much as a four cyl isuzu diesel. when are these crazy lies gonna go to rest.

Of course the LESS faithful will poo-poo it, claiming that a $200 GM mill would have made 3,500 h.p.

Three atmospheres crammed into a built BBF will make some serious power!

b3m – it’s a lie only if proven to be. Because YOU have not witnessed it happening does not mean that it cannot. So far, there is no evidence to the contrary, Until then…

Besides, no one is forcing you to believe. If it were a CHEVY 572, would you then believe?

It wouldn’t serve any purpose, nor would be prudent, being a MAJOR player like Steve Morris to lie about things like this, or anything else for that matter, that will ementually come out and cost him credibility ,(read that,”dollar$ and cents in lost business”). Hey, look, I was once a Blue Oval believer (still love to hear a built Cleveland scream to the top of it’s lungs), but then it dawned on me. I could build, like, 1&1/2 little Chevys for every Ford I built. THAT’S a better idea. Just dollars and sense. Do I like seeing the mega-horsepower engines that I’ll never be able to afford? You betcha! The sport NEEDS it! But as far as saying this a fabrication, you throw enough cubic-dollars @ anything, and it’s gonna happen. Especially with TURBOS!
