It is always fun to peek in on the Nelson Racing Engines channel on YouTube to see what the dudes and dudettes at NRE have going on. We found this recent video, showing off the new 428ci Windsor Ford small block engine the company is offering with twin turbos and it makes a mind blowing 1500hp on the dyno! Wearing the company’s patented “mirror image” turbos and an “alien” intake, the engine looks really good and obviously it has some guts as well.

Nelson says during the video that the engine and packaging are heading into an early Mustang. With the power this monster makes, we certainly hope that the driver has some skill, or a ready collection of diapers to control what may happen when he leans into the throttle and the boost is cranked up.  The whole “mirror image” turbo deal is pretty cool and aids in a situation like this when packaging is a concern. Hell, this thing even has the AC pump on it!
