Dyno Video: The Lingenfelter Flat Plane LS Motor Makes 1,000hp With Turbo – Exhaust Hotter Than the Sun!

Last week we showed you some video of the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering flat plane crank equipped GM LS engine. The mill made about 650hp and there were some notes that it was going to be equipped with a turbo the next time we saw it. Well, those notes were the truth because new video has been released of the engine working away with the hinted at turbo.

The engine measures out at 358ci and uses a single 76mm turbo. According to the video, it makes “well” more than 1,000hp. We’ve not beaten up LPE’s Mike Copeland for information regarding the end use of this motor, but we’d be more than willing to bet that it will find itself into the nose of a late model Camaro and begin to make itself very well known at drag strips around the country, and soon.

Halloween is coming, so this whole “lights out” thing is in the spirit of the season!

  1. Mike Copeland

Attached is one of our test runs with the Camaro this engine is going in. The run is with the “standard” engine, on low boost.

The engine in the video makes much more power than the one in the car video.
