Dyno Video: Watch A GT500 Mustang With A 3.6L Kenne Bell Blower Pull To 7,000 RPM – Screaming Goodness!

You certainly don’t have the like Mustangs to respect the late model GT500s that currently prowl the streets. With their blown 5.4L engines, even in stock form they haul buckets of ass. Of course hot rodders being what they are have been feeding them more boost and making more power than factory engineers ever dreamed of. While we don’t know how much power this GT500, upgraded with a Kenne Bell 3.6L blower makes to the tires, we can tell you that it sings one hell of a song at 7,000RPM and the throttle wide open.

You’ll hear the car come up and run at a steady RPM on the dyno for about 30 seconds and then things get rolling just after the 0:50 mark when the hammer is laid down and the Mustang pulls with all of its might against the straps anchoring it to the elevated dyno. When you think about how fast stuff is happening inside that four cam engine and how quickly that blower is spinning when the engine is wound up like that, it makes you want to climb under the desk to avoid potentially flying parts! In this case, everything stayed where it belongs.

We wish they had revealed the power numbers, but the Mustang sure seems stout as hell. For all of the added complexity of the physically huge modular engines, they do love boost and can make prodigious power when it is applied correctly.

PRESS PLAY BELOW TO HEAR A BLOWN AND PISSED GT500 MUSTANG MAKE GREAT MUSIC AT 7,000 RPM ON THE ROLLERS!

If I had to guess I’d say over 700rwhp! Sounds like he has long tubes so I’m sure he has all the supporting mods too.
The biggest issue….traction!! Launching a 4000lbs stick car on a street suspension with 700hp is HARD!
