Flying Caddy! Watch This Backyard Daredevil Launch A 1990s Eldorado – Lands Like A Ton Of Bricks!

I actually really like 1992-2002 Cadillac Eldorados. I like the way they look, I like the interior appointments, I like the way they drive (for a gigantic front-driver, they aren’t too bad) and when it’s running right, I even like the Northstar V8. They weren’t even that heavy, with a curb weight of around 3,800 pounds, a couple hundred pounds lighter than a late-model Dodge Challenger R/T. But there is one driving dynamic that I always found unsettling about the Eldorado…they drive much, much heavier than they actually are. The car might be under 4,000 pounds curb, but it feels like it’s pushing 5,000 pounds, and more if you ask the Eldo to take a curve. The Caddy That Zigs, the tenth-gen Eldorado is not.

We don’t know why this particular Eldorado got tagged for stunt-car duty. Overall, it looks pretty clean, so unless the Northstar has triggered it’s self-destruct mode, we can only surmise that this was Grandma and Grandpa’s car that nobody in the family wanted. Or maybe there’s body rot that we just can’t see, but the beating that this Caddy takes time and time again makes us question that. Not once, not twice, but five freaking times this thing was launched off of a berm and four times, the car drove off, not much worse for the wear save for the trunk. Here’s the first and the last jump for your consideration…
