As Kevin beds in for another lovely Iowa winter, he’s been hard at work getting the videos of his adventures and revivals of 2019 put together for viewing. He was busy this year, between that Satellite revival that he paired off with Thunderhead289 with, but he also did plenty on his own. One such find netted him two rides: a late 1970s Ford pickup and this 1964 Ford flatbed. Both trucks had been sitting on the farm since about 2005, and both have their faults…the pickup had flappy bedsides, for example. But would the flatbed be any better?
Well, the squirrel that collected up all of those walnuts is going to be pissed off that their stash was unceremoniously dumped onto the ground, but this old beast is able to move and drive. The question isn’t a matter of will it run. The 352 lights off and outside of a carburetor rebuild it desperately needs, runs pretty strong. The question is really a matter of how good of shape the rest of the rig is. Wait until you see this thing driving down the road!
