Wanton destruction is largely pointless but always hilarious in our book. Take these guys over in Europe somewhere with a sad sack little VW, a logging chain, and someone ballsy enough to be the test pilot. As best we can tell, this is a new video because we pay attention to these things and frankly, if we haven’t seen it yet we’re guessing lots of you have not either. It is the highest quality version of this type of video, which is cool because you are totally going to want to watch it frame by frame for when the motor, transmission, and the entire front clip of the car comes off in one violent moment when the slack comes out of the chain.

It seems like there’s some risk to the guy driving this thing that he could be injured by stuff coming up through the floor or what not. Then again, the car is a front wheel driver so the only thing that is passing under the floor is the exhaust and that must have folded up like wet cardboard under the forced involved here. The noise and laughter are awesome as well as the close up of the freshly “extracted” engine and transmission.

Smart? No. Productive? No. Waste of a car that could have been used by someone else? Probably. Mature? Not so much. Fun to watch and probably even more fun to be involved in? Hell yes. Insult us if you want but this video has us cracking up!
