Historic Drag Video: Incredible Footage From the 1964 NHRA Winternationals

There is cool old drag racing footage and then there is stuff like this video. If you dig old drag racing stuff, this video is all-time. Back in the early 1960s NHRA National Events were not held 20 times a year, in fact, there were exactly two. That meant that everyone who was everyone would be at the Winternationals in Pomona and at the US Nationals at Indy.

You’ll see everything from the Mondello and Matsubara altered to John Mazmanian towing his Willys in with a perfectly matched Chevy truck. Roger Lindamood’s Color Me Gone, some of the first Thunderbolts, and on and on and on.

This truly is 10 minutes in drag racing heaven.
