Video: Where They Raced: Episode 2. “The Holy Grail” Southern California’s Racing History Explained

The Where They Raced series is in full swing now, and you can expect to see a new episode from us each Wednesday here at BangShift.com. This is the second episode, and you will not be disappointed. It’s a tale of German, French, and American engineering going head to head at the French Grand Prix in 1914, the start of World War 1, and orphaned race cars that came to the states. Cars like the Holy Grail which was completely dissected by famed race tuner Harry Miller.

Miller led to Offy, and so on and so forth, but this car is still owned by the same family that bought it back in 1948. It’s run Indy since then, it’s got incredible technology for the time, and you won’t believe the story behind it.

It’s a story that couldn’t be embellished, and you have to watch this great video.
