LSR Video: Pam Beineke Runs 205mph at Loring in the 1971 Wing Car She and Her Husband Gary Built

Gary and Pam Beineke built their “never was” 1971 wing car tribute to the K&K Insurance machine of Bobby Issac for one reason…to haul ass. Crafted in their home shop, the car sports a 1,000hp Hemi, manual transmission, and all the tubing and safety gear necessary to run balls out at LSR events from Maine to Bonneville, and that is just what the pair are doing.

You’ve seen Pam and Gary’s creations on the pages of BangShift before, and while all those cars a extremely well made and drive like ultra high performance OEM stockers, this car spins our crank harder than all the rest. It looks the part, sounds the part, and as you’ll see in this video, runs the part as well.

Incidentally, Pam outran Gary by 1-mph. He mustered a 204mph blast before Pam trumped it with her final 205.6mph shot. It sure has to be a small group of speed crazed women that have pushed a high winged Chrysler past the two century mark. Pam owns the record in AA-FCT at Loring! Gary has the GCT record at the faciliy, in the same car.

For the love of all things mechanical, please lose the MUSIC!!!! Do you all have no shame at all? Otherwise, the video is pretty much useless.

Loved the music. Do you people really think you’d have heard the motor over the wind from on top of the wing? You can turn the sound down, ya know…or…have some fun instead. The Beineke’s do what they want no matter how anbody whines over it. Mo-power to ’em.

Gary and Pam are very cool down to earth people. I had the pleasure to be sitting next to them in the starting line for Maxton and they were both very pleasant to chat with. Music or not, cool video and cool car.
