We’ve been following the work of the guys at Grind Hard Plumbing Co. for a little bit, ever since the first time we saw what used to be a Power Wheels Ford Mustang ripping powerslides and donuts on asphalt courtesy of a teeny, tiny little engine swap setup. As far as we can tell, the entire purpose behind the channel is to build the kind of machines you dreamt of as a kid. Be honest with yourself…that go-kart needed more than the Briggs and Stratton was giving you, that Power Wheels toy would have been so much cooler with a different powertrain, and your parents would’ve had a canary if you were ever cut loose in such a contraption. Everything they build, we want a go behind the controls of. We’ve shown you the Mustang, and we’ve shown you a highly modified Honda Odyssey ATV that is now sporting the engine from a snowmobile that they put together.
This time they are working on what started life as a Power Wheels Jeep. It had the full pink, white and purple theme, and it has been modified to within an inch of it’s life and then some, resulting in a psychotic go-kart that has the temperament of a rhino that got kicked square in the ass when it was napping. In fact, outside of the plastic “fog lights”, this is as much a Power Wheels Jeep as a rockbouncer is an actual Jeep. The engine is a Honda CRF450 unit and it’s been around for a little bit…but in this video you will see the Jeep get modified further, with a clutch from Rekluse Motor Sports and a home-made I-beam front suspension. Which makes the landings after effortless wheelies that much smoother.
We’ll take one!
