We got tipped us off to this video from Australia that shows an old Mercedes sedan that has been built into a full tilt drag race car which gets power from a blown small block Chevy engine. The steel appearing car, which cannot be a flyweight by any means launches very hard, yanking the front tires way up in the air. The car really has some suds as it manages a quarter mile pass in the high eight second range!

We can’t remember ever seeing one of these cars made into a drag machine state-side. There are lots of blown small block BMWs and Porsches, but to see it done to an antique Mercedes is pretty damned cool. The added benefit is that the smarmy dudes who are into Mercedes like these probably view this as their worst nightmare come true. We take pride in that.
