Turbo LS Intake Test – LS6 vs Sheetmetal, Which One Is Best Under Boost?

Richard Holdener is one dyno testing machine, and his latest series of videos exploring different parts for Turbo LS Engines. In this video it is an intake manifold shootout between the factory LS6 long runner intake and an aftermarket short runner Sheetmetal intake. The test was run on a 5.3L LS with a comp cam and valvesprings so it could handle some rpm and boost. The engine was run both naturally aspirated and under boost with both intake manifolds. Check out the video to see the results. They just might surprise you. Which one is better? Will it ALWAYS be the better intake? Hmmmm Watch and learn.
