If Viper’s Came Like This The Line To Buy One Would Look Like Walmart On Black Friday

I’ll admit, I am NOT a Viper fan in the grand scheme things. Well at all really. I’ve never been a fan of the V10 since stock it sounds like a UPS truck and it’s so small. I mean if GM had 502 inches with 8 cylinders then the V10 in a Dodge needs to be over 600 inches. In my world it would need to be a 628 incher or more. But that might just be me. But that’s not the point of this blog item and video. What is the point is that this Viper owner got his to make 1750 horsepower. Now we’re talking! I don’t know what a 1750 horsepower Viper would have to cost from the dealership, but I’m pretty sure people would buy them no matter what the cost. Now, if we can just convince Dodge to make this happen, maybe I’ll become a Viper fan and win the lotto so I can own one. Just saying.

Watch this.

Best sounding UPS truck ever! C’mon Chad go read or listen to interviews with HRM staffers who talked about 427 Shelby’s in their test fleet not being driven much. Why? Hot. Loud. Violent. Unforgiving. I’m a Blue Oval loyalist but to not acknowledge that a Viper is triple distilled “Briing it! “ ? Well now you sound like everyone who wonders why we all “ruin perfectly good cars” with lowering kits, exhaust, finicky tunes etc… the Viper is a raging beast that only one company had the balls to build and keep building until there just wasn’t anyway to keep the doors open. Then they released the ACR , which was lower rougher louder and turned BRUTAL to “11” . It owns many class track records and was the ultimate FU on its way out. Godspeed Viper. Maybe some of the alumni can help Ford or Shelby put out a 60th anniversary tribute to the 427 Cobra . Updated but untamed a throwback snarling beast that I will never be able to afford but makes the Dearborn Blue pound in my veins. A dream that I can never achieve . A dream that makes me wipe the grease and blood from my hands and build my next project just a little more aggressively. Noise ? Vibration? Harshness? Who cares ……
