Snowmobile-Powered Triumph: A Full-Scale Test Romp…This Time, With Everything Hooked Up!

Snowmobile-Powered Triumph: A Full-Scale Test Romp…This Time, With Everything Hooked Up!

It’s weird just how at-home this engine is. Once powering a Yamaha RX1 snowmobile, this supercharged four is now fully functional inside of a Triumph Spitfire and is ready for a good flogging. And we’re still as intrigued as ever…one, in how well everything works, two in how little actually needs to be messed with in order to get the sled engine and it’s supercharger to fit properly, and three, just how mental it sounds at what has to be low speed. Feel free to call me out in the comments section if I’m wrong, but it sounds like he’s giving it utter hell for what might be forty miles an hour up a dirt road. I hope I’m wrong, because I’d love to see this little screamer take on a canyon road in California and handle itself well without having to be run to the ragged edge for every last MPH.

I’d also love to see it parked on some grass in Monterey during Pebble Beach week just to hear someone’s head explode too, but there is only so much one can ask…

  1. Chevy Hatin' Mad Geordie

The shittiest music ever heard in a car video and two mentally challenged car builders who have just invented a patent in car arm destroyer – what’s not to like?
