When I was traveling through Ireland and the UK a couple of years ago, I noticed one thing among all others in regards to cars: American cars of any kind are such a rarity that it actually catches you off-guard when you see one. The S-197 Mustang I saw barking gears south of Dundalk might as well have been a Ferrari after seeing days’ worth of Renaults and Ssangyong SUVs. The Chrysler 300C used as a taxi in Dublin looked like an apartment on wheels after riding in those little black cabs in Scotland. But the biggest jaw-drop had to be the 2002-era Dodge Ram sitting outside of an apartment block in Killarney. It wasn’t a commercial vehicle, it wasn’t a work truck…someone was actually driving a four-door Dodge Ram in a place where a car the size of a Ford Focus hatchback was a good-sized vehicle.
So, I only have one question involving the new Guinness World Record involving the largest parade of pickup trucks that recently went down at the Nurburgring: Where in the hell did they find 1,152 Dodge Rams in the entirety of Europe?!?
Should have let them run at speed…that would have given us great “carnage” videos. 🙂
They should put them in their natural environment, not the ‘hey look at me’ trips to L.L. Bean in a spot-less shiny truck. Run ’em in the local 4X4 mud races, you know, the good kind, that has a obstacle course & a ‘sippy hole. I challenge all truck manufacturers to participte
I’m surprised they could find 1,152 Rams that would actually run in one place at one time.
When I was in Germany in 2012 I was surprised at some the the american vehicle I saw on the roads. I saw quite few late model dodge rams, and more than a few Ford Raptors. I even spotted a early seventies Lincoln sedan in traffic! We even stopped at place that had nothing but used american cars. Mostly Dodge trucks, 300C’s, mustangs, and 2 Raptors.
They ARE running at speed lol.
Looks like trucks from Germany Belgium Netherlands.I dont think Ireland is the place to look for us cars and trucks..They are more plentiful in Scandinavia Switzerland Belgium Netherland and Germany.
wow even saw a 80s grill and heard a few 12 valvers too
