The 2010 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational Television Show Airs Tonight!

The 2010 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational Television Show Airs Tonight!

The Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge is truly the premier competition amongst the best Pro Touring cars in the country, and the world. Taking place each year, the weekend after the SEMA show closes, 50 of the baddest ass pieces of iron on four wheels duke it out in the Nevada desert in a bunch of different events and judging categories. Being that this is an invitational event, you need a good enough car to be asked and then balls enough to show up. Cranking up the cool factor is the involvement of BangShift sponsors Optima, Ride Tech, Detroit Speed, Holley, and even AFCO had their hands in the event by either competing, sponsoring, or having their parts in competition vehicles.

Ride Tech honcho Brett Voekel took a 9th place finish in the company’s kick ass ’66 Chevelle, and Detroit Speed had two cars in the competition both Camaros, fairing very well with a second place finish for Kyle Tucker and a thirteenth place spot for his wife and ace wheel wrencher Stacy. Holley also competed in their kick ass “shop truck” that we first say at the NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion. It too, is a stunner.

The show airs tonight on SPEED and we have a trailer that the guys from RideTech sent along to us. It is going to be good watching as these cars (and trucks!) really get beat on by some of the best drivers in the country. Having seen the whole field in person at SEMA, almost every one of the cars is drop dead georgous and is engineered to the pinnacle of performance.
