I own just two vehicles that are not Chevrolets, and those two are both Japanese imports. They are my 1985 Mitsubishi Mighty Max and my 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback. And while my plan is to build the Mighty Max into the mini truck I wish I could have built as a kid, the Honda has more sedate aspirations. It’s an EG Hatch, which makes it very desirable obviously, but it’s also a VX which was Honda’s hmileage model and that means I’m not doing anything to it but cleaning it up and making it look nice. It needs a paint job, and then I’m going “JDM Style” with the look and running wheels that are only 15 or 16 inches in diameter. While looking for just the right set, I’ve learned a few things about some of the original JDM aftermarket brands and fallen in love with the looks.
So when our friend Larry Chen dropped this new video, where he’s getting a look at an amazing number of JDM wheels, I was drooling.
And like many awesome automotive finds, Larry found these by accident. I won’t tell you how, because you’ll get that in the video, but I will say that this is sort of how things happen when car guys meet other car guys and gals. I love it. Check it out below.
