Back in December of ’09 we let you know about a project that Chip Foose has taken on along with John Deere. Foose has been tasked with modifying a cool Deere 4020 tractor into a hot rod. The good news is that the first renderings of the tractor have some out and there’s new video series showing the progress being made has been released as well. Dare we say, this is looking like a pretty neat project!

The tractor is going to be given away to a lucky prize winner. Somehow we think that we’re excluded seeing as we are reporting on the contest and the tractor in question. That makes us sad, but we’ll get over it.

Here are the latest webisodes of the tractor build saga and below that you’ll find Foose’s rendering of the finsihed product! It’s pretty funny to see guys who are used to building some of the most renowned hot rods in the world cutting and welding on a very large John Deere tractor. Here a link for more info on the contest.
